Cape Leewin Lighthouse, WA

Another day being tourists!
It was hard to chose what to Blip for this day as we saw a lot of great things.

This is the Cape Leewin lighthouse. When we got there we were advised to stick to the paths and to watch out for snakes. Eeek! Didn't see any thankgoodness!

On the most Southern Westerly tip of Australia, where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet, stands Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse as a solitary sentinel at 39 metres high.

It was totally manually operated until 1982 by a clockwork mechanism & kero burner, one of the last in the world.
