Two seasons in two minutes

Got back from a wee break south last night... just in time to meet up with the family Red on the last day of their Orkney adventure.

Great to finally meet them. I bored them about fossils and then made them tramp along the cliffs and beaches. They took it all in their stride. We all reckon that living in Dunbar is good training for Orkney.

These two shots were taken minutes apart facing in different directions at the same beach. We went from basking in sunshine to being battered by hail. So a quick retreat to hot chocolate and cakes was essential.

Hopefully we'll see them back at some point soon. Fingers crossed for slightly warmer weather when they wash up on our shores again.
