Thursday 12 April 2012: rapid onset
Though not yet sufficiently-worn-down for the light siping to have disappeared, my rear tyre is nevertheless at the stage where it only takes a momentary wheel-locking when stopping quickly or a lucky gouge from a sharp stone to remove a section of the rubber tread to reveal the puncture-proof layer beneath. As with the recently-replaced gearing-components I refrained from noting the exact mileage at the time of replacement as the nearest month-end reading will be close enough for assessing the tyre's approximate lifespan. From the look of year-ago entries it was about a year ago that I put a new tyre on the back but I think I have since rotated that one to the front.
