home and about

one of the many butterflies and moths we saw at Butterfly World (I don't know this one's name). They recreate a tropical rain forest in a huge screened-in area, and raise and release the butterflies constantly. It's amazing to walk around surrounded by them fluttering everywhere. There are also aviaries with small tropical birds, especially hummingbirds.(seephoto journal's blip) And there are lorikeets you can feed, a museum of mounted tropical bugs, macaws, arbors full of all kinds of passion vines you can walk through, a nursery that sells butterfly- attracting plants, and, of course, a gift shop and snack bar. We hadn't gone in a long time- usually go when someone from out of state is visiting. (several choices today, but decided should go with a butterfly)
