Tea for Two

And two for tea.

There was no rest for the wicked, as they say, in the Dower House today.
It would seem that gym visits for both of us early this morning could not satiate his Lordship's desire for exercise, and it was suggested that we cycle to the Land of Flowers and burn off any excess energy- as if!

As it turned out, I was happy enough to oblige even though all that waited at the end of a six mile dash up hills after the backside of a fast disappearing husband, was a cup of tea and a water biscuit.
I nearly blipped this miserable offering, but found I had consumed it without noticing. That's what happens when you choose a water biscuit and all you really fancy is one humungous fat cake. Just as well these two ladies were sitting nearby, offering me a surreptitious alternative for today's posting.

On the way home we decided to take on a slightly overweight man on a racing bike. The competitive spirit kicks in when you see someone on a stripped down bike who doesn't appear to be performing as well as he should with the equipment. Passing him on a hill was one of the day's delights!

And we arrived home in record time if not slightly out of breath.
