Monday 16 April 2012: Hidden architectural gem
...one of many such gems in Glasgow. Came across this today walking through the Italian Centre, it's at the corner of John Street and Cochrane Street.
It is the centrepiece of an archway and is obviously the prow of a boat with a variety of ornate carvings.
I don't know what it's supposed to represent, perhaps someone does?
