The AlphaPonty A-Z challenge AND I promised you something "Germanic" on my return.
768 spiral steps to be exact (that's 768 very narrow stone steps) - right up to the top (and I mean VERY top) of the tallest church in Germany - in Ulm!

My legs ached and my heart was pounding but I made it - no breath left and shaky hands at first but - WOW - the view made it all worthwhile. The two spires you see in the photo are part of the Church as well ..... the houses look like little lego buildings, I think.
