Saturday 21 April 2012: Oban Harbour
Oban Harbour was busy today, lots of comings and goings, working boats and pleasure boats. The large blue boat tied up at the North Pier is MV Quest, a luxurious cruise liner for small numbers, often for charter. Not in our league then. The red roofs are pasta and seafood restaurants, a brilliant addition to the town's eateries.
The shops were busy too, with lots of island accents and gaelic spoken. There is a fiddle concert tonight, so guessing supporters of the fiddlers have come for a day out and a bit of shopping. It was a lovely atmosphere today, and the sun shone in spite of the forecast. Oban at its best :)
