Trans Europe

1. After work we walk in what should be sunshine-it seems bright - but it's lashing. A bolt of inspiration hits in Cambridge street (which almost never happens, at least it's not bolts of inspiration that's normally flying about) and we stop in at the new place for dinner.

2. Banana Leaf, Cambridge Street. Try it next time your passing for great, quick malaysian meals. Presented very nicely, served very politely and tasting very gorgeous.

3. We're both delighted and walk on in the rain to the Tron, where I take this photo of one of my favourite wee corners of Glasgow.

4. We're here to see Joyce Falconer perform the songs of Kurt Weill. It's an astonishing performance and I am totally blown away. What a treat.

5. Chatting on in the bar to Joyce and Scott, who plays piano we have a surprising and rather wonderful wee night.
