Friday 27 April 2012: Blackcurrants

I like blackcurrants (Ribes nigrum). I like to grow them, eat them, jam them, cook with them, and when I'm ill drink a hot sugary drink full of them. My better half isn't British and doesn't understand our national love of them, she prefers the red version.

This bottle of cordial is from the UK's leading manufacturer, there is no prize for guessing who they are...
