Saturday 28 April 2012: Going green

Nature is slowly but surely turning green again. And the Willow Warblers are back from their winter quarters. Simply lovely!

We had an intensive day at the allotment. Z spent most of the day preparing for the new bit of beech hedge that we will plant tomorrow - this involved some pretty 'hard digging', removing lots of roots, and a bit of weeding.

M was busy in the veggie garden, cleaned the mini pond, removed some of the plastic net that we use to protect our early spring bulbs from the roe deer, put straw around the strawberry plants. We also moved our Magnolia biondii to a better place, and put up a small fence to protect it from the roe deer.

We were so busy so we almost forgot to blip - this will have to do for today. The temperature was around +15°C and it was mostly sunny.

One Year Ago: Blue skies - white Magnolias
