Max and Grandpa

Today was Mike's Confirmation and ten of us filled the pew to witness the Bishop bless our candidates as they received the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Mike chose Stephen - my father's name - as his Confirmation name. My friend Nancy, who is also Mike's godmother, sponsored him. I cried, my husband cried; it was a beautiful, reverent, meaningful ceremony, one I shall remember until my memory leaves me.

Afterwards, it was off to lunch and by the time we returned, Max was beside himself with excitement - so many people so much energy - grandpa calmed him down and I captured their moment with my iphone.
