Monday 30 April 2012: Bad Thoughts

This is a road wheel in a mountain frame. More clearance than expected, could probably fit a pretty generous sized cyclocross tire in there. Then just need to get some sick expensive Paul Moto BMX linear pull brakes (because those are the only ones that will reach the taller 700c rim) and I'd have a semi 29er/cyclocross bike that would be just perfect for hitting the streets and some light trail riding with Bob...

Except I'd also have to buy all the other parts to build it up. And that would mean having another bike to store in a small house and would put off the purchase of a "real" 29er even further. And then what would I do with my current mountain bike when the real 29er arrives?

Sorry Bridgestone, back in the shed with you. Hey look, if you hadn't cracked you wouldn't have wound up in the shed in the first place, so really, this is all your fault anyway so no point in whining about it now.
