Tuesday 1 May 2012: Mayday Mayday
One of life's greatest pleasures surely, a mid-week floodlit game of football. Particularly if you're a Motherwell fan and the game is an away fixture against the famous Heart of Midlothian. Gagh.
Ach, whatever. Here's a good thing, though. Three beer fonts were on up at the Athletic Arms with good light beers. Quaffing beers. Quaff quaff. Not for tonight (well maybe just a couple) really, but beers are in prospect tomorrow...
Earlier, I had another of life's greatest pleasures. Pie, chips and mushy peas and a pint of Landlord at Berts at the West End.
And let's not forget it was May Day. Here's to the Workers of the World!
