Sunday 1 May 2011: Corinthians Ahoy!
A wonderful day and thanks to Mr D. Who took us over to Burntisland on his fabulous boat, Maxine. I knew we were in for a good time as soon as I heard the Led Zeppelin music from his boat on the pontoon. He thought it was appropriate for the weather today.
And once in Burntisland, we stumbled over a beer garden with live music - a band playing rock n' roll to a goodly throng, and indoors, Arsenal vs Man U! Back to the boats and we found that dozens of locals were busily racing their hot hatches up and down the largely derelict waterside. And why not. No trouble, no police, and a glorious blue day. Home Mr D! And pass that Lidl Brandy!
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
