Tuesday 1 May 2012: Another Day, Another Damselfly
How can it be May already?
Time off from gardening on this spectacular warm day--not just sunny, but warm, meaning not windy, which is a rare and wonderful thing along this coast. Perfect for a nice leisurely walk downtown to pick up a book on hold at the library. I meandered on to buy some coffee beans and sip a latte, sitting in the window of the shop and reading for awhile. On to the bookstore, looking for a guide to insects, but choosing instead a true account of a notorious butterfly smuggler!
I spent all afternoon sitting out in the yard, alternately knitting and reading, looking up to smile at the flowers. I did not pull a weed, not one.
