Wednesday 2 May 2012: The Phoenix Rises

I have Blipped around 7 of Sculptor Andy Scott's works, but (so far) this is the only one I have returned to.

Its one I particularly like and I also like the message behind it - the regeneration of a rundown area of the City.

I took another picture of 'Danie' standing in front of it. Danie is a local who approached me when I was taking this shot to tell me that he was auditioned for X Factor last year and was going back this year. He was great to talk to and a real character. I have actually found him on Youtube singing a Beatles song but I have spared you the link! I don't think he will be winning the competition but I wish him all the best. (If he does win it - then I've got his picture!).
