My Friend Elaine
Today I painted in Open Studio. I had a great time and made some real progress on my desert painting #2. I decided to photograph my good friend Elaine at work on the last details of her painting. I was blown away with this painting. Normally she paints highly realistic paintings. This painting is a leap. It's a realistic subject but her colors and style took this one into a new realm. I love it. I chose this photo, even though it is hard to see the painting, because I love the expression and the lighting on Elaine's face. She really concentrates when she paints.
