Thursday 10 May 2012: Brooding Skies and Immense Landscapes (140/366)
A business trip across to the town of Dunoon in Argyll & Bute. Although it's on the UK mainland, the fastest way there from Edinburgh is to use the Gourock-Dunoon ferry. 4km/2.5 miles across the Sound.
This shot looks north-west from the bow of the boat. The land mass in the middle is Kilmun, which separates the sea lochs Holy Loch and Loch Long.
