The Fifty Six

Today saw the 27th anniversary of the Bradford Fire Disaster and was marked by the traditional service around the memorial in Centenary Square.

Last year my image showed the memorial swathed in flowers and scarves against the Town Hall. Today I've chosen one that shows the detail of the moving memorial, designed by Jockel Reisner, a gift from the people of Hamm , one of Bradford's twin cities.

The flags were at half mast.
