Sgwarnog: In the Field

The Atom Heart Mother Reenactment Society

On the return leg of a ninety minute walk through moorland, woodland and pasture I met a cow kind enough to lift her head from the grass for a contemplative gaze.

The bluebells are still going strong in Spring Wood, and the lapwings and curlews were being vocal on the Hawksworth side of the valley. And we had enough warmth and sunshine for tortoiseshell and peacock butterflies, the first I've seen in a few weeks.

Thanks to @PicLocata who reminded me of the similarity of this image to the cover art of Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother.
