lizard point

this dramatic scene is at lizard point, featuring the old RNLI station which has now been replaced. many lives have been saved by the men setting off from here, including a slightly less famous white star line ship which got jammed on rocks, at least it wasnt an iceberg this time.

on the same day we also went to lands end, but to be honest it was really crap. commercialised tat and bad weather made for a pretty poor view. lizard however is much smaller, with only a few small buildings, a lighthouse, and a big drop into the sea.
