Rufous Humming Bird on her Nest

Yesterday at Big Rock Garden some friends spotted this little humming bird nesting very near the path. I didn't have my telephoto lens along as I was loaded down with painting supplies for the day of plein air painting. So I knew I had to come back today to take her picture. She was there and I took many photos. Had a bit of trouble picking which to post but I liked this one because it shows off her color well. Take a look in large. I love that she used lichen to make her nest. I plan to post more photos of her on Chaikins of Bellingham.
