Tuesday 15 May 2012: Under the Worcesterberry bush
I think I am going mad! I cannot believe I just rushed out into my garden - when I finally saw a hint of sunshine - then stood there for ten minutes waiting for the sun to reappear from behind a menacing black cloud.
Lovely to see the start of the summer fruits - even if there isn't enough sun to ripen them! This looks like a gooseberry but is, in fact, a Worcesterberry (cross between a gooseberry and a blackcurrant) and turns purple when ripe.
Wherever you are, I hope it's warmer then it is here! It's 12 degrees in my garden (53F). This weather is ridiculous even for the UK.
