Tuesday 15 May 2012: Macro Mania

With all the flowers bursting into bloom now, I had to go out and about with the macro lens this morning. I found many subjects to photograph - almost too many, hard to decide which one to blip, so I put some in a slideshow on Photobucket.

This is an allium, a decorative member of the onion family. At first look it's a big puffy flower, but close up you can see it's made up of hundreds of these little flowerlets.
