Wednesday 16 May 2012: The Dear Green Place
Glasgow is called the Dear Green Place on account of its acres of parkland. It has a couple of very pretty rivers and canals which attract a lot of wildlife and are regarded as the city's green veins.
This is a view of the River Kelvin which flows into the Clyde. The shot is looking upriver and the bridge connects a pathway with the Botanic Gardens.
Shame the blue sky disappeared shortly before I took this snap but it still looks very peaceful.
