Monday 13 October 2008: bougainvillea
a few months ago this plant was about the size of a baseball cap. just today I noticed that this shoot has already reached just over the top of our 6 foot fence that surrounds the back yard. we put it in a corner where it can spill over into the front yard, but not where anyone walks, they get a lot of very sharp thorns. it will be a little difficult to keep trimmed, but they are very pretty, and bloom on and off all year.
