Capital adventures

Baby cool

None of us slept well last night. I woke about 2,30 and could hear movement upstairs.  Then I put on the radio as the news about the missing plane came through.  Between the awful floods in eastern Malay peninsula and now the lost Air Asia flight there had been a lot in the news about Malaysia the last 2 weeks.

Today's plan was to go for dim sum at Saigon Saigon but first there was sleeping in, a delay getting ready and then buggies on buses. Change of plan, after a saunter round Liberton cemetery to find my dad's cousin's war grave, it was off to Portobello.

A beautiful sunny afternoon for a walk along the prom and then late brunch at the Beach House.  Olivia had been practising with her new sunglasses but she didn't need them as we were in the shade. She loves being out, seeing what's going on and watching the world go by.  No blippers there,  although the prom was really busy.

Home to turducken pie, Christmas bread and butter pudding and 'Top Gear' pt2. Topped off with 'Last Tango in Halifax'.

Good day.

Edit. Belatedly I realised a) it is exactly one year since I took my parents to Portobello and
b) tomorrow,  or today spending on how you deal with a leap year is a blip birthday 4x 365 consecutive entries but no balloons from new blip :0(
