Gulled

The weather really closed in since yesterday morning - all views of Skye, Rum etc had vanished. It was very wet. As we clustered in the station at Mallaig waiting for the train I noticed a couple of gulls sitting very close to the tracks on what turned out to be nests. This track is beside platform 2 and is in use at least once a day because it's from here that the steam train departs for Fort William. Must be quite, erm, noisy.

It was the same wet, cold, miserable weather pretty well all the way back to Edinburgh.
