Heart and Souled

"Having a giraffe"

Let me introduce 'The Billerettes' performing today at a May festival parade. Formed 36 years ago as a reaction to miserable looking yet well drilled majorettes these men (and the odd woman) love to show how it should be done, with fun! 'One for all and all for charity' is their motto. People's faces light up when they pass! I love seeing them, it's infectious!

The title is cockney rhyming slang for 'having a laugh' - cockneys are 'true' Londoners who love to make the language their own ... 'trouble and strife'= wife, 'apples and pears'= stairs, 'dog and bone'= phone, you get the picture!
