Sunday 20 May 2012: Wood Avens
I've just found out what this pretty yellow plant is by googling it - I know it is a 'weed' but it is very pretty and seems popular with the insects. I think it is Wood Avens (also known as Herb Bennet). We have some of it growing round our wildlife pond. According to Wikipedia, Wood Avensis credited with the power to drive away evil spirits, and to protect against rabid dogs and venomous snakes. Well, haven't seen many rabid dogs around.....
Another grey Sunday. Gym, lunch and then over two hours of ironing.
