Making the most of it

A day of absolutely no responsibilities. What a rare and brilliant thing. Nothing to get anxious about (well, almost nothing, if we don't mention the wee hiccup with the dinner date that never was, shhhhhh).

Clachtoll coastal walk in brilliant sunshine, the clear view of the mountains on the way to Lochinver, scanning the sea for signs of those tell tale black shapes at Stoer lighthouse, watching the sunset and laughing at some major sheep politics. Then there was making the most of the dinner date that never was and another wee dip in the hot tub.

Felt more than a wee bit guilty at being away without the kids, but it's been a long time coming and we'll all be back later this year.

But back to clachtoll and there are still Yes signs everywhere. Big and small, on crofts, flagpoles, gates and cars. Just as much or even more than before the referendum when we were here in August. The folk have long memories of the actions of remote landlords but they also have the confidence for breaking the mould when it comes to community buy outs.
