Kiwiana

Highlight of the day was Adam and I going to the museum. We went to see "Meet Leonardo da Vinci", an exhibition about his life, his inventions and his machines. I was pretty good, but maybe a little pricy.

Anyway, with some spare time we went to see the new exhibit "Fred & Myrtle's Paua Shell House". Basically Fred and Myrtle used to live in Bluff (the southernmost point of NZ) and over 30 or 40 years collected 2500 Paua shells and a whole bunch of Kiwiana. They also opened their house to visitors and had over 1 million people through it. When they died there was a big drama, but eventually the contents were saved, and now they are in the museum. It's quite interesting.

Mods - this is taken into side the mini movie theatre in the dark - no black borders! It's hanging on the wall ...
