Monarch Series # 3

Yup.  I'm predictable at this time of year.

I was bent over in my Kowhai tree photographing an empty chrysalis when this beauty landed literally on my camera.  It didn't want to get off so I had to encourage it onto my finger and from there onto the tree.  Of course I stopped between those two manoeuvers to take a photo or two.
