Pipevine Swallowtail Caterpillar

The pipevine on the next block is crawling with these big beautiful guys; we counted a dozen easily, all chomping away on the highest leaves. They seem to prefer being up there in the wind, waving back and forth. You can get in close and watch them chewing! I kind of realize it's not that appealing to everyone, but it made my day. Going to San Jose for dim sum was pretty good too!
