Saturday 26 May 2012: Libelle

is the German name for Dragonfly. I tried many times to get a shot of one today (I specially wanted the awesome ones that were down by the stream but they were not for being photographed) and this was one I fluked. Probably a lot better in large.

We were in Kaiserslautern today where we met up with Elwetritsche and she very kindly took the time to show us round the Gartenschau and the Japanischer Garten and a bit of Kaiserslautern. Blip is a place where that sort of thing can happen.

We had a brilliant time. There were dinosaurs galore (Seismosaurs are awe inspiring), real lizards, mice, rabbits and loads of great plants. The weather was really magic - all blue skies, sunshine and the occasional very welcome breeze. And we chatted for the whole day and it was pretty much all in German. We rounded things off with a bit of an early dinner outside. I can thoroughly recommend K-Town.

Danke Elwetritsche. Danke sehr.
