Sunday 27 May 2012: In honor of the fallen...
This is Memorial Day week-end for us. Yesterday I visited the cemetery where my mother's ashes are buried...a beautiful place high on a hill where she spent so much of her life with her sisters. Then Al and I went down the hill to celebrate with the living another wonderful year for my cousin Nancy.
Our reunion (I'm the one in the green shirt) was full of love and memories...such a happy day. We laughed so much as we remembered silly adventures, and the mothers that bound our families together.
I was amazed by the number of flags in the cemetery...this is a tiny community in the middle of nowhere, yet so many of the citizens have served. This flower is in their memory...bless them all.
