Tuesday 22 May 2012: Death and destruction
So there I was, pottering down the lanes at lunchtime enjoying the sun and revelling in the active, diverse and amazing insect life in the hedgerows and verges......and then this came along.
Where there were damselflies, spiders, shieldbugs, ladybirds, aphids, hoverflies and innumerable other insect life forms, all that remained within a few noisy minutes was mushed, chopped up greenery.
