Monday 28 May 2012: Chilly Hills
Yesterday's storm caused no damage, but I had a lot of fir cones to pick up. This morning the nor'wester was more gentle, and still warm until lunchtime, when it turned very chilly. It must be snowing in the mountains. I took photos of the Torlesse Range early this morning. The snow appeared as thin threads in the ravines and south sides of rocks. It could be different next time they appear.
In this shot foothills are standing proud and cold against the storm clouds that cover the mountains.
