Almost Missed Downy Woodpecker

Another long day at the wetlands watching and waiting for the eagles who basically didn't show up.  Instead we noticed more wildlife that we had been missing all along, thanks to the expert eyes of Dennis Manzer!  Here we have a downy woodpecker, but we also saw a blue heron, kingfisher, killdeer, wood ducks, wrens, bushtits, chickadees, and a host of others.
