Taking It as It Comes

Those of you fortunate enough to have stepped off the rat race will know that one of the best things is taking things as they come.  Today pals Laura, Helen and I had a plan to do a circular walk around the pretty Dales village of Malham.  En route we turned up a road where another old colleague/pal lived to spot her sitting out in her garden.  Jan has not been well recently so we did the best thing and stopped .....and had a cuppa and a major catch up with families and life and everything.  When we reached Malham it was heaving and there was nowhere to park so we slipped into a private carpark for a guest house and asked their permission to remain there.  The lovely young woman we spoke to told us that they were in fact in the process of refurbishing and opening a bistro so we promised to return with the Ladies who Dine later in the year - looks like a great place for a weekend of walking.  We curtailed our walk somewhat, taking in Janet's Foss and Gordale Scar (behind us in the blip) then stopped off in Airton at the Farm tearoom on the way home for Yorkshire rarebit (yummy) and scones, and much conversation.  A smashing day out with good pals and a plan reworked and much enjoyed.
