Looking Out . . .

A very early start as I had to be at the hospital by 7.45am.  As luck would have it I wasn't the only one having an operation today, a neighbour was having his knee operated on and another neighbour is a nurse there so she gave the pair of us a lift in!

The op - a De Quervain's Release - went fine, lots of local anaesthetic and I was able to watch the procedure, which was fascinating.  Because you can't feel it, it is as if it is happening to someone else - until you do feel it!  Mike came and collected me and we were back home by 11.30, tendons all freed up and my wrist swathed in bandages!

A wild evening, but luckily we're indoors, me with a small tincture to help with the discomfort!
