Sunday 3 June 2012: Stamens Aplenty
It's a flower on the pineapple guava bush, also known as feijoa. That's the easy part. The gorgeous octagon that looks like a glowing Chinese coin is another matter entirely--the strangest artifact I've ever conjured into a photograph. I love it and have absolutely no idea what it is or where it came from.
