Monday 4 June 2012: fireworks - jubilee party
We started the day off at the church's flower festival. There were some beautiful arrangements, absolutely stunning. It was all done by the church flower arrangers, and they really had done an amazing job. The mini pinks enjoyed doing the "find the hidden object" treasure hunt.
We stayed for lunch in the church hall, and the catering team had produced some lovely food. The mini pinks created a storm of chocolate cake crumbs behind them.
We had a couple of hours at home, pottering about and not doing a lot. We're all really tired I think.
This evening grandma came to look after the mini pinks, and Mr Pink and I had a night out at the last of the local jubilee celbrations. We went to another village to their park, for an evening of bands, the Queen's beacon and fireworks. It was good fun, we saw lots of friends, and enjoyed the music, especially the first band who happened to be my friend's band. The beacon was lit at 10.15 and the fireworks followed soon after. The fireworks were brilliant, really really brilliant. It was a fab end to the celebrations.
