Goddess of Democracy

I noticed this a week ago on May 28th when it was installed and a few bricks still needing to be put back in. I was going to blip it but instead did the new subway train. It was unveiled on Monday, June 4 on the anniversary of Tiananmen but I was away sick. The May 28 photo had better light on it; today was very cloudy but the flowers were a nice touch. Here is the YFILE story on the unveiling. I'm now updating the Wikipedia entry on the Goddess of Democracy to include the new information. There you can see a photo of the previous goddess statue and this new photo.

The Goddess stands on the other side of the hole in this blip and steps away from The Encounter. See also: #OCCUPY and 300.
