If you can't beat them...

Calla Lily

Today we decided to go to Ambleside back to the garden Centre to pick up something we needed for the Lodge.  Originally we were going to get up early and use the morning light  for photos round Thirlmere.  However the day was overcast with poor light so we took our time and didn't rush out.

At the garden centre there were many possible targets for my camera I chose this Zantedeschia (although I think they are now more correctly Calla)  Schwarzwalder.  When I first knew Zantedeschia they were all pure white now they came in a variety of colours.  The near blackness of this variety was what caught my eye.  The coloured varieties are not hardy being either indoor plants or summer bedding.
