A Fish With A Bicycle

We missed the kinetic sculpture parade along the river levee, but managed to see many of the very clever entries displayed later at the Ebb and Flow River Festival. The fish is made from that insulated stuff that you put in your car window when you park in the sun; I'm pretty sure there is a name for those things, but it eludes me. 

The Ebb and Flow Project was envisioned to celebrate and nurture the San Lorenzo River and begin to reclaim the beautiful RiverWalk for positive use through education, entertainment and public art. It was wonderful today to see the paths host a steady stream of walkers and bike riders of all ages. This area is not where I would usually walk alone, which is a shame, because it's a lovely meander from our flourishing Art Center to the river mouth, but it has fallen into misuse. Today's celebration was a great beginning to making this area safe and available to everyone.
