Stuart has come to associate anything I put in his cage that isn't edible with 'trouble'.

Within a short while he'd worked out a way of getting into the humane trap, wedging the door open and stealing the food.

I have a new design now which is built like a lobster pot with a funnel entrance. I baited this with the rest of Garry's breakfast cereal, took the rest of his food away and waited. 

Stuart would rather starve than check it out, so after only one night I relented and gave him fresh fruit and bread.

The little guy went mad guzzling the food overnight.

He's definitely his old self again.
