Shinning in the Winters Light

Our Magnolia Stellata or sometimes called the Star Magnolia is coved in buds ..awaiting Spring. I thought they looked lovely catching the light.

Today has been spent at home catching up on things. The sun was showing its warming face which helped the washing to dry. Some weather forecasts are predicting snow to sea level tomorrow morning and when they say that it seldom happens. Would be nice to see a few snowflakes falling in the city.

Buds
Softly beating, blanketed under the chill.
I'm always amazed to find they survive,
even when all feels dead inside
So where do they hide?

Seeds of the spring person with glowing warmth
Who will grow and burn with passion.

When shades pull over my eyes and the frost glazes the veins
Somewhere inside echoes a quiet cry to exist!

When the storm passes and the winds silence
And the buds shyly peak from their hiding place
With a sign of clear skies,
the buds take courage and emerge
Blooming against odds and reason
