Saturday 9 June 2012: Torch Bearer
It was our village gala day today and after helping decorate the float for the playgroup children this morning, there was just time for a quick photo shoot with Miss42 in costume (she made her own medal and torch!) before heading off for the drive through the village.
What great fun all the kids had and the float won first prize (well, it was the only truck/float this year).
Some drama too when the horse drawn carriage that was carrying the gala queen jack-knifed and tipped over with the children in it. A horrible moment but thank goodness everyone seemed relatively unharmed.
